NHTSA investigating 2003-04 Infiniti M45

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation concerning Infiniti M45 sedans from the 2003 and 2004 model year. The NHTSA has reportedly received 43 complaints about inaccurate fuel gauge readings, and in 26 of these cases, the improperly calibrated fuel gauges have led to instances of engine stalling.

New global headquarters in Hong Kong
Nissan today announced that its Infiniti luxury brand would establish its new global headquarters in Hong Kong.
As we know the Infiniti brand was launched in 1989 for the North American market but has expanded to include the Middle East, Russia, Europe, South East Asia and other regions.

Infiniti M35h sets Guinness World Record

On Tuesday a 2012 Infiniti M35h ripped down the UK’s rain-drenched Santa Pod Raceway and sped into the record books as the world’s quickest hybrid vehicle.
Driven by Tim Pollard and overseen by Guinness World Records, the 360hp Infiniti M35h dashed down the quarter-mile track in 13.9031 seconds. The quickest run of the day tripped the clock at 13.8960 seconds. In describing the M35h’s record-setting run, Pollard stated, “At Santa Pod you could feel the instant torque of the electric motor away from standstill – the car just leapt off the line.”

2012 Infiniti FX Facelift Pricing

Infiniti released pricing on FX SUV model before it goes on sale in October. The FX facelifted base FX35, FX35 AWD and FX50 AWD models now start from $43,450 (+$850), $44,900 (+$850) and $59,350 (+$1750) respectively, not including a destination and handling fee (*) of $895.

2011 Infiniti FX

Infiniti has unveiled its 2011 FX in Europe. The Infiniti SUV gains new convenience and safety features along with new color and trim combinations, while keeping the same engine range, which includes two petrol units and a diesel option.
The most important addition is that of the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system, which backs up its audible and visual warnings of an unintended lane departure with a dynamic intervention. The LDP now comes standard on the FX37 GT Premium and S Premium, and FX50 S Premium, as well as Premium versions of the FX30d.

Infiniti FX, G37 and M Models in Australia

Infiniti said it will create Centres in each of the three major east coast capitals of the country in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The initial lineup will include the FX sport crossover, G37 hardtop convertible and coupe, and the M luxury sedan.

Tuning Package for Infiniti M30d

Infiniti Centre Hamburg in Germany has released two tuning packages for the recently launched diesel-powered M30d.
The “Stage 1 Package” for the M30d includes painted door handles (€600), red brake calipers with Infiniti lettering (€1,200 €), a lowered sports suspension (€1,495), a black radiator grille (€550) and a black-foil-covered roof (€400). The package is completed by an performance kit (€1,250) for the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel boosting output from 238HP to 280HP.

2012 Infiniti M Hybrid

The new 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid will go on sale firm’s retailers on March 16, 2011, with a base price of $53,700, or $7,000 more than the regular M37 that’s powered by a 330HP 3.7-liter V6, the company announced. Infiniti’s first mass produced hybrid model pairs a 306HP 3.5-liter V6 engine to a 50 kW [68HP] electric motor for a combined net output of 360HP and an estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg City, 32 mpg Highway, and 29 mpg combined.

Infiniti Etherea Hybrid Concept

The Infiniti Etherea concept is ready to be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Show in March. The production model scheduled to enter the market within the next two to three years.
Designed under the supervision of Senior Vice President of Design Shiro Nakamura, the 4.4 meter long concept is said to blend elements of coupé, sedan, hatchback and even crossover models “in one highly sculptural, near-mono volume form”. The Etherea also incorporates styling cues from the Japanese firm’s well received Essence sports car study from 2009 including the…blurry-shaped C-pillar and front grille design.
